PLOAD100 Series Low PIM loads
AWT Global’s PLOAD100 low PIM loads / terminations have been designed with demanding test and measurement (T&M) applications in mind. These low pim loads are well trusted by customers worldwide, using them in their laboratories and at their manufacturing lines. Our 100W loads offer excellent PIM ratings better than -165dBc @ 2x43dBm (PLOAD100 / PLOAD100-F). They come with DIN 7/16 (m) connector and offer a carrying handle for convenience.
Temperature can influence PIM characteristics.
Forced air cooling, available with our PLOAD100-F type low PIM loads / terminations, is not only beneficial for reducing the operating temperature of the loads, it effects also their PIM behavior. This is caused by reduced expansion deforming of the load cable as it happens with higher temperatures. Lower temperatures maintain its geometry. Furthermore, increased temperature may change connector’s contact pressure and with that, could also influence PIM.
All AWT PIM analyzers feature true continuous RF power as opposed to delivering only pulsed RF power for measurements. The latter is a concept utilized by many other PIM analyzer manufacturers. True continuous RF power PIM measurements allow to test system, connectors and components under conditions very close to real life operations of telecommunications networks. PIM analyzers which provide true continous RF power measurements can help to find possible temperature related issues already in an early state during factory / field testing. When untested, such issues may be detected too late – after the system went life
